Interesting

There is an item on the agenda for today for approval of giving a $1,300,000 grant to renovate the McCormick Goodhart Mansion to be used as a multi service cultural center for CASA.

Interesting what you find when you actually read the agendas.

Just imagine how many mental health jobs that could save!

So, where does the money come from for this grant? Taxpayer dollars? Why are taxpayer dollars being used to support CASA? Oh, that's right, O'Malley votes.

The Board of Public Works has approved about $24 million in stadium-related projects, including a new scoreboard at M&T Bank Stadium.
The new scoreboard will cost about $4 million to replace the one that has been in place since the stadium opened in 1998.

The board on Wednesday also approved $10 million to make structural improvements at Camden Yards, home of the Baltimore Orioles baseball team.

Another $10 million was approved to pay for energy conservation measures at the two stadiums.

The money comes from the Maryland Stadium Authority's budget, not the state's operating budget.
